Job Title: Finance Coordinator

Employer: Aspiring Communities Together (ACT) Sheffield

Based at: Fir Vale Centre, 2nd Floor, Earl Marshal Road, S4 8LB

Hours: 18 hours per week (Full time being 35 hours)

Starting Salary: £21,840 pro rata

Reporting to: CEO


To coordinate and develop all financial functions and office management tasks of ACT



To manage ACT’s financial systems on the SAGE accounting system including-

  • Handling payment of and issuing invoices
  • Monitoring and recording all payments received
  • Maintaining monthly income and expenditure records
  • Handling monthly bank reconciliations across several accounts
  • Paying staff salaries and dealing with the necessary paperwork including payments to the Inland Revenue
  • Managing and maintaining petty cash
  • Monitoring spend and cash balances and proactively alerting the CEO to issues arising
  • Producing a monthly financial report for presentation to the Board of Directors


To manage office administration tasks including-

  • Liaising with colleagues and suppliers to ensure financial matters are dealt with promptly and to ensure payment schedules are up to date
  • Maintaining high levels of confidentiality and personal security by shredding materials as requested by your line manager
  • Ensuring that payments are collected in agreement with the table of charges
  • Maintaining stock levels of all stationery and other materials and placing regular orders.


To undertake a range of other duties including-

  • Attending and contributing effectively to full team meetings as required
  • Ensuring that equal opportunities are embedded in all administrative tasks undertaken
  • Being proactive in developing systems and procedures to promote the smooth running of financial operations and the organisation
  • Representing ACT in a positive manner, being a champion of its work at all times
  • Undertaking any other tasks as requested by the CEO or members of the Management Team
