New service to end homelessness through sustained employment in South Yorkshire
Crisis Skylight South Yorkshire is launching a revamped Work and Learning service. This service provides tailor-made support to individuals across South Yorkshire who are homeless, or at risk of homelessness, with a view to supporting their progression into Employment, Education & Training or Volunteering.
What does this support look like?
Individuals will have 1 to 1 coaching with a qualified coach and the opportunity to gain accredited employability qualifications including career preparation, CV writing, applying for a job, interview skills and volunteering.
Crisis also have funding available for our members to support them with their journey or education. This support can include course fees, self employment start up costs, travel and clothing for interviews/work. This is decided on a case by case basis.
Once in employment, they will be offered ongoing support to ensure employment is sustained. Further advice is available and summarised in the flyer.
