We are looking to recruit 3 x Community Development Workers within the Communities Service.  The posts will be working in the Burngreave, Firth Park and Shiregreen & Brightside wards in the City. The posts will be temporary for a period of 12 months.  

If you are enthusiastic and committed to improving outcomes for people and communities, with effective engagement strategies with residents, able to support them to develop new activities, and have good relationships with partner agencies and the VCFS, then this could be the next step for you in your career. 

The job involves working with the Community Services Officers in the North East Local Area Committee to develop the communities in Wards detailed above. This will include working with residents, community groups, Elected Members and partner agencies to both connect services and improve understanding of the community, so everyone achieves their best life and is proud of where they live. 

The positions are to start as soon as possible.
