Contribute to the South Yorkshire Local Skills Improvement Plan

Tech and Media employers, please contribute to the South Yorkshire Local Skills Improvement plan with Sheffield Digital

South Yorkshire is one of eight “Trailblazer” regions in the UK which have been granted Government funding to pilot “Skills Accelerators”. These incorporate a Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP) and a Strategic Development Fund (SDF), with the aim of helping to “reshape England’s technical skills system to better support the needs of the labour market and wider economy”.

During January, Sheffield Digital is engaging with the region’s digital tech and media employers to compile a strong contribution to the LSIP from the industry, and would appreciate your involvement.

Here are the four key things you can do:

• Now: Fill out the SYSA’s Employer Survey.
• Now: Read and contribute to Sheffield Digital’s open “Draft Response” document.
• January 18 (morning): Attend the online SYSA Workshop to learn more about the programme.
• January 24 (lunchtime): Attend the online Digital Tech & Media Industries Skills Summit to review and add to the Draft Response document.
