South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue, with South Yorkshire Police, Barnsley College and the Prince’s Trust, is recruiting for the next Sheffield Team programme based at Parkway starting Tuesday 3 May. This 12-week course is open to 16-25 year olds.
In the 12 weeks, the participants will undertake a residential in the Peak District, fundraising and community projects, and practical work experience. Budgeting and other practical life skills are looked at to help young people prepare for their futures.
The Prince’s Trust claims to also give advice on employability, as well providing nationally recognised qualifications including:
- Level 1 Prince’s Trust Certificate in Employability, Teamwork and Community
- Level 2 HABC Certificate in Food Safety
- Level 2 HABC Certificate in Health and Safety
- John Muir Discovery Award
- Practical First Aid.
