Opportunity Sheffield is delighted to have commissioned a series of pilot pre-engagement projects aimed at unemployed and economically inactive residents of Sheffield.
These bespoke courses – which are part-funded by the European Social Fund – are designed to motivate, build confidence, and encourage people who are disengaged from the labour market to start thinking about education, training or employment.
They will run periodically between Autumn 2022 and Summer 2023.
At this launch event on Tuesday 1 November (10-11:30am), we will explain the purpose of the ESF Positive Change Programme and what we aim to achieve, then introduce the providers and their courses. We will explain the eligibility criteria and give potential referral partners the opportunity to ask any questions.
Courses are grouped according to funding stream and target cohort, with four projects commissioned on our Ambition (Youth) project, three on Ambition (Adult) and a further seven on Pathways to Success.
Eligibility
- Aged 15-24 for Ambition (Youth); Aged 18+ for Ambition (Adult) and Pathways to Success
- Resident of Sheffield
- Unemployed or Economically Inactive
- Has not enrolled on ESF Pathways previously (Ambition or Pathways to Success)
