BITC’s ClickSilver initiative aims to provide 1:1 tech mentoring & support

Business in the Community has a free initiative that might be of interest to charities, community groups and other organisations who work with people aged 50+. Please feel free to share across your networks.

What is ClickSilver

BITC’s ambition is to connect the experience and skills of business volunteers with people from across the UK to tackle loneliness and isolation. We aim to empower individuals so they can access the information they need to make real life connections, join support groups, enjoy recreational activities, and feel confident in their digital capabilities. Further information and a case study is attached.

How ClickSilver Connections works

ClickSilver Connections is designed to provide people aged 50 plus with 1:1 support to reduce social isolation and loneliness through increased confidence in the use of technology.

Volunteer business mentors are trained and matched with participants from across the UK over a four-week period., supporting with four sessions.

Each session lasts between 30 to 60 minutes providing an opportunity for mentors to share their skills and knowledge with participants.

These sessions help participants build the digital skills they need to stay connected with friends and family.
