January 2019 update
By the Walking for Purpose team
The team have been working really hard over the last year; running walks from Chapeltown, Darnall, Hansworth, Broomhall, Manor Sharrow, Burngreave, Woodhouse and Westfield, with some success.
Our new block is starting in Shiregreen and we would love for you to come along and get involved. If you are interested or know somebody who might be, just pop along to one of the sessions, or contact the office for more information on (0114) 2734 266.
Update

With the project’s ethos to walk rain or shine, we braved the elements to rack up the miles. We’ve collectively walked 7824.6km since the project started which is the equivalent of Sheffield to Salt Lake City.

We rounded the last block of walk off with a festive-themed group event, to celebrate how amazingly well all our walkers have done, and to reward them for all their hard work and determination. A big thank you to our participants, they have made this last year fly by.
Are you looking for work or know someone who is? Then we need you!

In progress…
We are starting walks in the S5 area:
- Tuesdays at SOAR Works, 14 Knutton Rd, S5 9NU starting at 11:30am
- Thursdays at Shiregreen Neighbourhood Centre, Westnall Rd, S5 0AA starting at 11:30am
How it works
Just turn up on the day, and be ready to walk. The team will meet you at the venue. We ask if you could please try and turn up 15 minutes before the start so we can set off on time. Our friendly and approachable staff will then guide you on a gentle walk and back to the training session.
